Bookmarking a SharePoint folder to your OneDrive is the most similar action to making SharePoint act like a shared drive.
Here is an example for Finance SharePoint and bookmarking the General folder, which will be most similar to the M: drive for that department.
Go to your departments SharePoint site. Click on Documents
The General folder in the site library is the highest folder level for Finance files. This would be the same thing as clicking the M: drive, then the Finance Department folder.
Hover over the folder to make a folder and chain link appear. Click that icon.
You will see this notification in the right-half of the screen:
Go to your File Explorer: and look at your OneDrive, the folder will be bookmarked:
It will look like SharePoint now inside of your File Explorer:
You must be signed into OneDrive for this to work.
