Setting Up Duo On a New Car/You got a new phone

With the new phone deployment, you will have to redo Duo login for every MDC you use. The setup screen has slightly changed. The steps for doing this are:


Step 1 is a one-time step due to you receiving a new phone.

1. IT has to send a re-enrollment into Duo. Ask for this in a ticket. The Duo re-enrollment has a time limit, this is why IT needs to be alerted. You will receive a text. Tap the link in the text to open Duo and add the City of Mukilteo profile.

2. Login to the MDC with your full email. (Locked screens or saved logins where you only have to enter your password will result in text passcode to login, we don't want this) 

3. You will get a push notification to your phone from Duo.

4. Open the push, but don't approve yet.

5. Click the blue text on the left that says 'Replace/reconnect an offline device' as displayed in the figure below. (Note: Sometimes, this blue text does not appear. If that is the case, then approve the Duo push notification like normal. You will be prompted to do the rest of the steps after the approval.)



6. Now, approve the push notification to your phone.

7. Set up offline login by scanning the QR code. Rename the computer name to the number of the car or whatever you want.
